Welcome!
In 1972, the summer after my first year in the MFA program at the University of Minnesota, I signed a contract with the touring company Shakespeare in the Streets.
I was thrilled! Besides playing Beatrice in MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING, Sylvia in TWO GENTLEMEN OF VERONA and Maria in TWELFTH NIGHT, I would be paid $10 a performance, making this my first professional job and deeming me a professional actor!
We toured six states and Canada. We did 100 performances. I came back with $1000, the most money I had ever made in a summer job.
In 1973 after completing my Masters and accepting a contract with Meadow Brook Theatre, I joined Actor's Equity on August 1, my mother union.
I am now in my 51st year as a professional actor. I can hardly believe it!
I invite you to explore my site through the years. It's been a marvelous ride that continues today.
